Duties and responsibilities

i. This is a training post. Successful candidates will be required to undergo a Master’s Degree Training programme.

POSITION OBJECTIVE

1. To run the branch as a profit centre, managing the sales process by acquiring

Plan and manage staff administration issues for support staff (i.e. local leave
training, Dept staff rotation) in consultation with the Branch manager.
• Ensure that all Operational Procedures are adhered to by all branch staff.
Print and verify Journal of accounting entries on daily basis.
Follow-up and ensure that all Revenue due to the Bank is collected without a fail.
• Counter sign with the Branch manager, all debits to the Profit and Loss accounts
Carry-out routine balancing, snap checks and bulk checks for branch cash in tills,
and in the strong room.
• Manage service delivery, to review output of tellers, customer service and
enquiries to ensure adherence to Branch standards.
• Ensure counter services key control standards are adhered to and custodian of
Complaint handling process.
• Ensure proper handling of customer’s new ATM cards as well as ATM captured
cards.
• Ensure timely submission of Branch reports/returns to Head-office as required.
Ensure that the Anti-Money Laundering requirements are followed as follows:

a) Take all reasonable steps to verify and identify customers, including
performing Quality Assurance on accounts opened, and the general KYC
issues
b) Retain adequate records of identification, account opening and
transactions and ensure timely and properly filling of customer mandates
c) Make/assist to effective reporting of suspicious transactions
d) Raise awareness of Money Laundering prevention by training all branch
staff.
• Co-Custodian of Vault Cash.
• Safe custodianship and BCP (Branch Continuity Program) custodian.
• Act as Operational Risk Coordinator for the branch
• To identify and report all exceptions on non-compliance with standard controls
• To identify and report all weaknesses inherent in the standard controls
• To assist Risk Manager in developing and updating of procedures, controls and
monitoring plans for Operational Risk Management.
• To report Branch’s Operational Risk issues and losses to Risk Manager
• To maintain proper record keeping on all Key Control Self-Assessment (KCSA)
and KRI related activities.
• To maintain independence in the conduct of KCSA, i.e not selecting and
reviewing sample of self-performed transactions.
• Ensure tidiness across the branch premises and clean-desk policy is exercised.
• Perform any other duties as may be assigned by Branch manager from time to

The Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre (EASTC), which was established in 1965, is an accredited Higher Learning Institution whose commitment and mandate is to offer training, research and consultancy programmes and services in Official Statistics.

The Tanzania Atomic Energy Commission (TAEC) is a Regulatory

Commission established under the Atomic Energy Act No. 7 of 2003, which

became effective on 1st July 2004. The Commission has been mandated to

regulate and supervise the use of Atomic Energy and Nuclear Technology

so as to protect workers, patients, the public and the environment from

harmful effects of both Ionizing and Non-Ionizing Radiation. Further to this

Nuclear Technology and the safe and peaceful utilization of Atomic Energy

2.0 EASTERN AFRICA STATISTICAL TRAINING CENTRE (EASTEC)

The Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre (EASTC), which was

established in 1965, is an accredited Higher Learning Institution whose

commitment and mandate is to offer training, research and consultancy

programmes and services in Official Statistics. As an academic discipline,

Official Statistics is collection and processing of data into statistical

information which is disseminated to help users who are policy analyst and

Decision makers in their national economic and social development

programmes.

To respond to user demands, EASTC offers courses in Official Statistics at

countries (18) from Eastern and Southern Africa, whose statistical

1.0 TANZANIA ATOMIC ENERGY COMMISSION (TAEC)
The Tanzania Atomic Energy Commission (TAEC) is a Regulatory
Commission established under the Atomic Energy Act No. 7 of 2003, which
became effective on 1st July 2004. The Commission has been mandated to
regulate and supervise the use of Atomic Energy and Nuclear Technology
so as to protect workers, patients, the public and the environment from
harmful effects of both Ionizing and Non-Ionizing Radiation. Further to this

2.0 EASTERN AFRICA STATISTICAL TRAINING CENTRE (EASTEC)
The Eastern Africa Statistical Training Centre (EASTC), which was
established in 1965, is an accredited Higher Learning Institution whose
commitment and mandate is to offer training, research and consultancy
programmes and services in Official Statistics. As an academic discipline,
Official Statistics is collection and processing of data into statistical
information which is disseminated to help users who are policy analyst and
Decision makers in their national economic and social development
programmes.
To respond to user demands, EASTC offers courses in Official Statistics at

countries (18) from Eastern and Southern Africa, whose statistical

4.1 STATE ATTORNEY II -(RE-ADVERTISED)- 25 POSTS
4.1.1 REPORTS TO: State Attorney In-charge of the Region or District as
the case may be.
4.1.2 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide legal opinion in respect of simple criminal cases under the
Supervision of State Attorney In-charge,
· Conduct prosecutions of cases in District courts, Resident Magistrate
and the High Courts,
· Handle appeals in the High Court,
· Provide Legal opinion/advice to the government on legal issues or
matters under the supervision of State Attorney In-charge,
· Conduct legal research on various Legal issues or matters, and
· Advise the government on any issues or matter of a civil nature

5.0 INSTITUTE OF FINANCE MANAGEMENT (IFM)

5.2.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Assists in establishing stock levels and timely replacements of stocks.
· Prepares purchase requisitions/orders upon approval by his/her
superior.
· Receives and issues vouchers, delivery notes and invoices.
· Responsible for the safety and accounting of all stocks in the store;
· Responsible for purchasing process of approved regulations.
5.2.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Holder of first degree or equivalent qualification in Material
Management from recognized higher learning Institutions with CSP or
equivalent qualifications with at least five years relevant work
experience or holder of a relevant Master degree plus CSP.

5.3.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Works for the Heads of a Department;
· Sorts out files in order of urgency before giving them to the office
concerned for actions;
· Drafts business letters, types and dispatches them as may be
directed by the Officer working for;
· Attends to telephone calls and takes messages and ensures prompt
delivery to the concerned;
· Ensures filing of all the copies of correspondences coming to or going
out of the office are property done;

5.4 RECORDS MANAGEMENT ASSISTANT GRADE I – 1 POST
5.4.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Retrieves documents, files and other types of records for use by
relevant officers;
· Maintains proper records of incoming and outgoing files and
documents.
· Analyzes lists, put labels and arranges documents/files in classified
indexes in different categories;
· Puts records/documents/files in file racks/cabinets in registry;
· Put records (letters, minutes etc) in appropriate files and repositories.
5.4.2 QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· Holder of Certificate of Secondary Education with a one year
certificate in records Management with five (5) years work experience
or Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education who has obtained a
Certificate in Records Management or equivalent qualification from
recognized institutions with three years work experience or Ordinary
Diploma in records Management from recognized institution with
three years work Experience.

5.5 RECEPTIONIST GRADE I – 1 POSTS
5.5.1 DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Receive visitors, messages and direct them accordingly;
· Liaise with Estate Office for repair of telephone lines which are out of
